James Robert (Bob) Wilkes

Peacefully, at University Hospital, on the morning of Tuesday, June 8, 2021, with his wife of 40 years Sheila by his side, Robert (Bob) Wilkes of London passed away at the age of 69.  Loved by his brother David and wife Catherine, his nephew Andrew and his wife Claudia, his niece Julia and her husband Rob.  Predeceased by his parents Howard and Marion Wilkes.  Bob loved golf, travelling and spending winter at his home in Florida. And wherever he was, he enjoyed keeping up with the investment market. Bob was a long time TD Banker, where in 1999 he moved his career from Toronto to London, the city where he was born, and later returned to attend Western University. Bob was a committed supporter of many causes, including research at LSHC and sending kids to camp, a passion from his youth.  

Due to the Covid19 pandemic, there will be no visitation or Funeral Service at this time. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date.  Donations to the London Health Sciences Foundation, the London Regional Cancer Program or the Heart & Stroke Foundation gratefully acknowledged.  McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, Lambeth 519-652-2020 in care of arrangements.  On-line condolences are available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca.
