My wife and I met with Bob only once a year -- but over many years -- to do our taxes. Maybe that means we barely knew him, but I have rarely met a nicer, funnier person. I will honestly miss him, and my life was somehow fuller for knowing him.

As the coordinator, on behalf of all of the volunteers at the Community Volunteer Income Tax clinic at Sherwood library, I offer our condolences to the Linton family at this sad time.
I had the privilege of volunteering beside Bob as we prepared income taxes for dozens of clients on Saturdays during tax season. I was impressed with how Bob dealt with our various clients. With his outgoing personality, Bob made each client comfortable and patiently dealt with the many income tax related questions which arose. Bob had a lot of experience in the tax area so he was a valued source of information for all the other tax preparers.
Again, our condolences to Bob's family. Bob will be missed.

My connection with Bob came through curling. His leadership and organizational skills quickly put him in a special class among the Late Broomers. Squeezing out the limited talent available in our aging group would have challenged anyone. But Bob rose above the frustration, became the source of inspiration, the media rep. and the spokesperson for all things curling...even after the group disbanded. I appreciated his taking on responsibility when fellow retirees truly “retire”. I shall miss his enthusiasm and willingness to work on behalf of others. Learning of his passing without having had the chance of personally saying good bye and thank you concerns me; however I am confident other fellow curlers will be there this weekend to lend support to the family. I am so sorry.
