We will miss Dave at the Hunt Club. He was an engaging man and everyone enjoyed playing golf with him. His pre shot routine was unique and know by all of us, and his hand eye coordination was the best of anyone I have ever played with. He is a great loss and fondly remembered by all of his many friends at the Club. With our respect and sympathy to his family,

I am so sorry to hear about Dave's passing, and the circumstances leading up to it. I thank MaryAnne Dunn for her tireless work in keeping us informed.
"Us" is the alumni of SS #1 Delaware school. Dave and I went to school there, along with my older brother Abe (call me Al) and 30 or 40 other young tots.
I recall Abe and Dave often together, and a particular memory of playing hockey - sort of - on the ice in the parking area behind my house. I was likely only 9 or 1o years old. I was in goal but I'm not sure if was the goal tender or the goal target. I do know that Dave hit a good puck. Later when I learned Dave had played professionally I was not at all surprised.
I saw Dave briefly a few years back. I was visiting my parents gravesite in Woodhull Cemetery when I saw someone on his mower across the road. I introduced myself and was delighted it was Dave Gorman. Unfortunately I have lost touch with my older brother Abe and was never able to bring him up to date about this or the current situation.
I am sure that Dave will be sadly missed by family and friends, and those who are forever joined by our SS #1 experience. Blessings and Peace be upon you all.

My condolences to the Gorman family on the passing of Dave. He bought his hunting tags from me at my bait shop in Delaware. Virtually everything I know about the modern black powder rifle was patiently explained to me by him. I enjoyed every visit he made to my shop. He was simply a good man and I will miss him.

Dear Jan and boys,
The first time I met David, he was a 2 year old in a bright blue snowsuit walking down Dundas street with his mom. A few years later, when I was engaged to Uncle Waldie, and we were building our house, David told Marj that "Uncle Waldie is building the nest before he's caught the bird!"
We met Jan at one of David's games in Flint - he had told us how beautiful she was, and he was right. His family meant the world to him.
All of the Allens will miss David so much at family gatherings.
Love to you all,
Aunt Evie

Dear Jan and family,
Bob and I will remember Dave for all the good times we have had with him in the past. Going back to when our
kids were young and Dave reciting all his back word poems to the kids to the point they had them memorized.
He had a great love for hunting and dogs and fishing, so no doubt Bob and Dave had so much in common.
Later in years when Dave and Jan moved in our front house, we have had such fun watching and hearing
Dave talk to our dogs, and he adored all the puppies.
We will truly miss Dave and the family coming around and would like to offer our very sincere condolences.
Sincerely,
Bob & Lorraine Lukings

Dear Jan, Harry, Scotty & David
Michael and I are so sorry to hear of Dave’s death. We send you our heartfelt condolences at this time of your very great loss. Dave was a good neighbour who always had a warm smile and wave to share when we passed each other on the road. I knew I could count on him to answer all my wildlife questions and help out with any “critter problems” on our property. When I passed by at night and saw Dave’s silhouette in the window watching TV I knew all was safe and calm in the neighbourhood. We are grateful to have known him and feel his legacy living on in Scotty and our son Roger’s lifelong friendship and love of rural life.
With Deepest Sympathy
Kathy & Michael

Phydge and Janet - and family
I am so sorry to read this....
my first impression was he has his father's white head of hair !!!
and that he doesn't look his age.
I saw him and talked to him regularly at LH&CC... even though he teed off way ahead of me - dew sweepers they were.
Didn't he chop up one the cats Janet?
Hiding on the warmth of the engine ??
I seem to remember him telling me that.
so sorry for you all.
He and I would make goose calls across the fairways and he would always tell me where the various animal nests/burrows were on the course..
