Roger Deroo Obituary

Roger Deroo

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Deroo, in his 88th year on Friday, January 31, 2014. Beloved and caring husband of Yvonne. Proud dad of Richard (Katherine) and Shirley and her best friend Gary Gamble. Loving grandpa to Jake Deroo. Survived by his brother Julius (Nellie). Predeceased by his sister Georgette Cnockaert. Roger was a tobacco farmer in Mt. Brydges for 35 years and retired in 1983 to Woodborough St. in London. He was an avid cyclist and enjoyed his sport very much, taking part in Club Races and many Tours. Cremation. Roger always said, “remember me with laughter not tears, for I have lived a long and good life.” The family wishes to acknowledge the exceptional care from the nurses in Palliative Care at University Hospital and Dr. Susan McNair, all the doctors in her team who came every day to see him and special thanks to Dr. Tiffy for all his many years of care. Everything is deeply appreciated.
