Poole, Leroy D

Of Lambeth passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 20, 2024.

Dearly loved husband of Betty (Davis) for 54 years and proud father of Karen (Ian) Masson, Brenda (Matt) Ryan and Craig Poole (Jenny Reid).  Cherished Papa to Chelsey (Greg), Shaylan (Justin), Max, Jack, Ryder and Jake and great grandson Gabe.

Son of the late Tom and Ruby Poole, Leroy was born June 5, 1944 and worked in the family business, Lambeth Electric.  After many years as a volunteer firefighter, Leroy joined the London Fire Department full-time, retiring in 2004. He was active in many community organizations including the Lions Club, Lambeth United Church and 46 years in Scouting.

Loved brother of Norm (Jewel) Poole and Donna Macpherson (late Doug). Dear brother-in-law of Deb Davis (late Bob).  Pre-deceased by in-laws Larry and Rose Davis and Ed Davis.  Lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews and cousins.

Our family sincerely appreciates the McCormick Home Day Program, all staff and in-home workers who have supported us on our journey with Lewy Body Dementia.

A visitation will be held at McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S London (519 652 2020) on Sunday, August 25 from 1-5 pm. 

A celebration of life will be held at Lambeth United Church, 4268 Colonel Talbot Rd London on Monday, August 26 at 11:00 am. Private interment at Woodland Cemetery.
