Obituary of Rosemary Goffin
Goffin- Rosemary (Beacom) of London and formerly of Port Stanley, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the Parkwood Hospital, London at the age of 93. Dearly loved wife for 70 years of the late Clare Goffin (2019) and dear mother of Eric Goffin, Dale and his wife Margo Goffin and Ellen Cannata and her husband Robert Hoddinott. Cherished grandmother of Laura Goffin and her husband Brian Malbrecht, Paul Goffin, Tito, Rebecca and Marcello Cannata and great-grandmother of Jack and Isla. Loved sister of Linda and her husband Arnold Eagle and was predeceased by brothers Ronald and Bob (late Irene), and by her sister late Betty (late Erie) Scratch and is survived by sister-in-law Joyce Beacom. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends whom she loved to spend time with. Rosemary was born June 16, 1931, the daughter of the late Bertha and Ray Beacom. She formerly worked at University Hospital assisting with critically ill patients. She and Clare were faithful members of the Lambeth United Church and were involved in numerous church activities over the years. They formerly lived in Port Stanley, and they cherished their time with family and friends and have many fond memories of the lakeside port. Rosemary was a talented seamstress and has made multiple wedding dresses. Family was of main importance to Rosemary, she not only cared for them and their well-being but was always willing to lend a hand and help in any way possible. Rosemary also had a few favourite pastimes. Spending quality time with her daughter as they frequented restaurants including Dolcetto and Milestones, camping for over 35 years with Clare, most often at Dalewood, and her love for the Blue Jays. She will be dearly missed by all who know her.
Friends may visit at the Lambeth United Church, 4268 Colonel Talbot Rd., Lambeth, N6P 1A2 on Monday July 15, 2024, from noon until 1:00p.m. with the Celebration of Rosemary’s life to follow at 1:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place and private interment of ashes at a later date. Donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to Lambeth United Church in memory of Rosemary.
