Obituary of Corrie Spitters
Cornelia (Corrie ) passed away peacefully at her Southbridge residence on June14, 2024 in her 95th year. Corrie was born in Zevenbergen, Netherlands on December 29, 1929 to Adrian and Elisabeth (Meeuwesen) Kop.
She was the youngest of six children and her family owned and operated the Bakkerij Kop which still operates as a bakery today. Always willing to give of her time to help others, Corrie was a volunteer member of the the Catholic Womens League having earned her 40 year pin designation. Corrie is predeceased by her four brothers and one sister.
Corrie married Adrian Spitters on September 2,1952 and immigrated to Lambeth, Ontario in March, 1953. Together they raised a family of four children, Marian Spitters (Harry), Edward Spitters ( 2011) (Annette), Lisa McLachlan (Kevin) and Richard Spitters( Cindy).
Corrie is predeceased by her husband Adrian (2019)of 65 years.
She is the proud Oma of Connor (Shalyn), Bianca (Jimmy), Blair (Terrah), Michael (Dani), Nicholas (Sam), Brock and Logan. Corrie is the great Oma of Christian, Taysom, Kole, Nash, Bowen and Spencer.

Visitation is from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Friday June 21, 2024 at St. Justin’s Church,
855 Jalna Boulevard, London. The Funeral Mass is at 11:00 am followed by a luncheon.
Interment of ashes is at Sacred Heart in the Fields Cemetery, Mt. Brydges.
