Margaret, your beautiful Scottish accent will ring in our minds forever! A true LADY who was blessed with all the grace, and charm and intelligence few could equal. Rhonda and I were so fortunate to have known and loved Margaret and Jack for over 35 years. The many, many times we were in the company of Jack and Margaet, it was Margaret who was more than content to be in the shadows of conversations, but her keen interest in what was being discussed broke her silence when she had something to input. When Margaret had something to say, everyone stopped to listen because you knew what she was about to interject had merit. Margaret was so intelligent beginning with her knowledge of current events and dating back to running two clothing stores in Kitchener and London. Margaret had such a keen eye for fashion and colour. She was always “dressed to the nines” whenever she went out. She modestly oozed style, grace, and fashion. Another of Margaret’s great characteristics was that she never had a bad word to say about anyone! NEVER!
Margaret’s life theoretically ended with the passing of her beloved husband Jack in 2019. They meant everything together and went everywhere together. If you saw one of them, the other was close by. They were “Siamese”, joined at the hip. Her health had been going down for years and her poor legs were horrifically painful, seemingly covered with saran wrap, but she never complained. Oh yes, I could continue with many other things to say, but suffice it to say that Rhonda and my lives have been enriched by knowing Margaret and Jack and spending so many great times together.
When you can say at the end of a person’s life that they were truly a lady, that would fully encapsulate Margaret!
Our Sincere Sympathy, Ian and Stephanie, Kyle, and Emily.
With our love.

We are thinking of all of Aunt Margret's Family, sending our love and deepest respect. If I close my eyes, I can travel back to lovely family gatherings in the 1960's and 70's in London and Tillsonburg. There are so many stories to be told of the beginnings here in Canada, I hope that the stories are told as you sit in each other's company, wishing your beloved mother, grandmother, Aunt and Sister her final goodbye. Rest in peace.
A Poem - Scottish Legacy
"A Scottish heart, a love so vast, A great mother, from first to last, Her kindness shone, a beacon bright, A guiding star, through darkest nights. She stood for truth, embraced the weak, Her love, a force, a river deep, A life of honour, compassion, and grace, Our dear mother, forever embraced. We'll celebrate the life she led, A love unbroken, a path well-tread, My dear mother, forever near, A Scottish legacy, in memory clear."
