Obituary of Jan Vaughan
It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Jeanette (Jan) Annie Vaughan in her 87th year. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 13th, 2024, in her home.
Jeanette was born on December 7th, 1937, in Alder Point, Nova Scotia, she is the daughter of the late Victor and Celina (Walker) Roland. She was pre-deceased by her partner D.P.W. John Loos. Her sisters, Gertrude Laffin, Muriel Laffin, Eunice Carey, Cynthia Simec and brother Earl Roland. Also, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence Laffin, Jim Laffin, Gerald Confiant, Jim Simec and Nancy Roland.
She is survived by her children Trina (Earl Allen), Damon (Sherryl) and Paul (Eva) and sister Louise and brothers Lawrence (Gerri), Nicky and brother-in-law Joe Carey, and by the father of her children Brian E. Vaughan. Four Grandchildren Taylor (Cora) and Justin (Bella) and Danielle and Alex and her two beloved great grand children Liam and Oliver. Also, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mom loved cooking, music and to sing and be with family and friends. She enjoyed her travels to Cape Breton, Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre, Compass Lake and Florida. She was employed with Canada Trust Real Estate for many years she loved her work where she made many special lasting friendships.
She loved her dog Lacey and a special thank you to Jo for your special friendship and dedication to Lacey.

Visitation will be held at McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Rd. S.
