Murray Armstrong Obituary

Armstrong- Murray Robert of Bobier Villa Home in Dutton and formerly of St. Thomas passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family at his late residence on Monday, January 29, 2024 at the age of 85. Dearly loved husband of the late Heather (Wright) Armstrong (2009) and loved father of Leslie Armstrong and her husband David Gubbay of Houston, TX and Sandy Armstrong (Tracey Babcock) of Fingal. Proud Papa of Sarah, Rachel, Cassie and Lexi. Murray was born August 8, 1938 in Agincourt, the son of the late Arthur and Mary (Scott) Armstrong. Murray attended Ontario Agricultural College in Guelph where he was on the 1958 All Ontario and College Championship Hockey Team. He was the former owner of the Empire Hotel in St. Thomas and in later years he worked and retired from Auto Haulaway. 


A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held at Sandys Home at 7969 Inverness St Fingal, ON on Saturday June 8th at 1:00 p.m,. Followed by an afternoon of memories and stories. Please bring a lawn chair. All are welcome to attend.
