Obituary of Lawrence Leavitt

Leavitt- Lawrence K. of London, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 30^th, 2023 at the age of 72 at the Victoria Campus, London Health Sciences Center. Dearly loved husband of Marilynne (Knibbe) Leavitt and proud father of Kristie (Adam) Wood, Megan (Jim) Marando all of St. Catharine’s and Ryan Leavitt of London. Proudest Grandad of Jared, Natalie, Ava and Payton. Dear brother of Scott Leavitt of B.C., Carol (Lloyd) Andreson and Danny Leavitt all of Alberta. He is sadly missed by the Knibbe families and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lawrence was born November 30^th, 1950 in Cardston, Alberta, the son of the late Lola (Oakey) and Elvin Leavitt.  Lawrence was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Blue Jays. Woodworking was one of his longest standing hobbies with many projects and furniture items built. He also enjoyed golfing, reading, drawing, playing pool, camping with his family, building puzzles and going for coffee with his friends.

A celebration of Lawrence’s Life will be held at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Rd., S. London on Saturday November 18^th, 2023, A Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. followed by a visitation until 3:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the Emergency Department and Trauma Unit at the Victoria hospital for their kindness and care.
