Obituary of Marguerite Miriam Woodhouse
Marguerite Woodhouse
Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, August 20, 2016 Marguerite Miriam (nee: Ross) Woodhouse of London in her 82nd year. Beloved wife for 50 years of the late Donald Peter Woodhouse (2007). Loving mother of the late Deborah Susan Tarrant (2014) and Brenda and Peter Shaw of Lambeth. Loved by her constant furry cat friend for 17 years Taffe.
Marguerite was employed by the London District School Board and was an inspiring teacher with both Lorne Ave. Public School and John Dearness Public School. She loved her Wednesday gatherings with her friends to play bridge. She thoroughly enjoyed travelling across Southwestern Ontario to watch many theatrical performances. After retiring from the London District School Board, Marguerite changed interests to the world of retail where she worked at Morse Jewelers and then for 20 years, until she was 81 years old, with Tan Jays at the Westmount Mall, where she made so many friends.
At Marguerite’s request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation with interment Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa at a later date. Donations to the Parkwood Hospital Foundation or the London Regional Cancer Program gratefully acknowledged. On-line condolences are available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca.
A special thank you to Dr. Kirk Hamilton and his Palliative Care Team, Gissele of St. Elizabeth Hospital and the 6th floor Palliative Care Team, Victoria Hospital for all their care and compassion.
