Obituary of Jo Anne Marie Crinklaw

Jo Anne Crinklaw,

It is with great sadness that the family of Jo Anne Crinklaw shares her passing on Sunday June 11, 2023, in her 97th year. Family was most important to JoAnne. Predeceased by her parents Vern and Olive O’Brien and brother Jack O’Brien. Together again with her much-loved husband Don (2001).  Proud mother of the late Steve Crinklaw  (2021) (Donna), Sherry Rosevear (Ken) and Mark (Carol).  Treasured grandmother of Patrick and Jenny Crinklaw, Vern and Trisha Crinklaw, Rod and Shannon Crinklaw, Sarah and Mark Baughman, Ian Chantler, Beth and Cameron Charlton, Drew and Beth Crinklaw and Reid and Jennifer Crinklaw. Her 16 great grandchildren, representing the eighth generation in the Crinklaw family, brought her much joy and laughter. – Andrew, Ryan, Brad, Jack, Cal, Dayna, Amber, Charlotte, Tara, Sam, Owen, Matthew, Hank, Tessa, Gwen and Josie.  Missed by two special childhood friends, Marjy Rogers and Wilma Stevenson. Loved by cousins and nieces and nephews.

Jo Anne grew up on the original O’Brien farm on the second concession near Nilestown, forming many fond childhood memories there. Upon her marriage to Don, she moved to the Crinklaw homestead on Westminster Drive. She resided there for over 60 years, raising her children, actively committed to the United Church and school community in White Oak. She worked alongside Don in the farming life for many years. It was in those years that their passion for making maple syrup evolved into the business of Crinklaw Maple Products currently. Jo Anne literally made tons of maple sugar over the years, passing her knowledge onto the next generations. She was happiest when surrounded by her family and took great pleasure in their activities and accomplishments. Jo Anne was also employed at Webco Printing. Jo Anne lived a fulfilled life of family, faith, and community.
