Obituary of Donna Lee Campbell

CAMPBELL, Donna Lee

June 13, 1947 - February 21, 2023

Peacefully and surrounded by her three sons, Donna Lee Campbell of London, ON, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.

Beloved by her late husband John Cullen Campbell (1997), Donna was loving mother to and survived by Christopher John (Julie Elwood), Shawn Douglas and Robert Hayden (Kelsey Cassidy).   Donna is survived by seven grandchildren that brought so much love and joy to her world, Joey, Jack, Lainey, Paris, Hayden, Cora and Brooks.

Donna was predeceased by her parents Ken (2001) and Iva Hayden (2014) and her brother Don Hayden (2011). She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Debbie, Scott, Cathy, Kerry and Greg Hayden.

Donna was also predeceased by her loving in-laws, John Gordon Campbell (1984) and Mildred Anne Campbell (1984) of Sudbury, and survived by her brother-in-laws Steve (Linda, 2003) and Matt (Diane) and her niece Kim (Zimmerman) and nephews Steve (Johnson) of London and Stephen Campbell of Brantford.

Donna was very loved by her lifelong friends and her closest neighbours in the Byron community, who were like family.

Donna was a kind and gentle soul, and a selfless and loyal friend. She absolutely loved animals, nature and adored all of her pets over the years.   Donna and her late husband raised three active boys in Byron and she loved her days as a 'hockey mom', as well as spending time at their family cottage.

In recent years, she was adored as 'Nana' by her wonderful grandchildren. She loved to spend time with her grandkids, her dog "Tussy", and her closest friends.

Donna and her family want to thank her medical team at London Health Sciences Centre, and especially the incredible nursing staff at Victoria Hospital Oncology.
