Obituary of Jane Dockrill

Jane Ellen Mary-Lynn Dockrill,

Jane Ellen Mary-Lynn Dockrill (née Minielly) died peacefully at the age of 58, surrounded by family at Parkwood Hospital on Saturday August 27, 2022.

She was a loving partner, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. Jane was a confidante, teacher, and counsellor. Jane was always available to provide a listening ear and good advice on navigating life’s many surprises and challenges, guiding those around her to live life with joy, love, and laughter.

Jane had a special gift for nurturing young people through ministry, starting with her work at Lambeth United Church. Her passion continued when becoming camp director at Camp Kee-Mo-Kee, Stevensons Children’s Camp, and as a Reach for the Rainbow coordinator. Most recently, Jane’s passions were poured into her work at First St. Andrews United Church, with her mission trips to Nicaragua and Northern Ontario bringing a huge sense of pride and accomplishment.

Jane found a loving companion in Mark over the last 11 years. Together enjoying a love of country music and travel, engaging on excursions to France, Ireland and many stops through the United States and Canada.

Jane leaves behind partner Mark Noble, Jane’s children Andrew Dockrill (Jessica), Joanna Brown (Ryan), John Dockrill, and their father David Dockrill; Mark’s children Heather and Michael Noble; grandchildren Brynlee Dockrill, Benjamin Brown and Arthur Brown; Jane’s parents John and Judy Minielly, and her siblings Jay Minielly (Lisa), Janet Carew (Jeff), and Jack Minielly (Sarah); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

We had a beautiful Living Wake for Jane in July for friends and families to share memories and stories together. It was truly a magical day for Jane!
