Unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, Wayne Douglas Cornell of Delaware at the age of 70 years.  Beloved husband for 39 years of the late Karen Cornell (2018).  Loving father of Laura and Neil Martin of Grand Valley, Ont. and Jason Cornell of Barrie, Ont.  Proud grandpa of Nolan, Logan, Charolett and Karissa.  Dear brother of the late Gary Cornell (2015) Elaine, Bonnie and George Moir and Patty and the late Brian Warren (2018).  Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. 

Wayne loved serving the community with his “Beef on a bun”, through Cornell’s BBQ Beef Catering business for over 35 years. 

Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home 2240 Wharncliffe Road, South, Lambeth 519-652-2020 on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. and on Wednesday from 2-4 pm. The celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at the Lambeth United Church 4268 Colonel Talbot Rd, London, ON N6P 1A2 on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 11:00 am. 

Please view the Visitation and Service Schedule on our Website Obituary Page and RSVP to the time you would like to attend also indicating the number in your party.  In accordance with the BAO, numbers are restricted for the visitation and service.  If you have any questions, please contact the Funeral Home at 519-652-2020 between 10 am – 6 pm. 

Your attendance for the visitation and service will be confirmed.  Face masks or coverings are mandatory.
