Obituary of Muriel Evelyn Black

Muriel (Mickey) Black

Peacefully at Parkwood Institute with her loving family by her side, on Friday, February 11, 2022, Mickey Black of London and formerly of Lambeth, in her 65^th year.  Beloved wife for 30 years of Doug Black.  Proud mother of Dalton Black both of London.  Loving daughter of Donna Service.  Dearly loved sister of Jim and Arleen Service, Bob Service, Audrey Service and Maynard Chase and the late Jeanie and Rick Kumor.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.  Predeceased by her father William Service (1972).   Dear sister-in-law of Linda Black and Charlie Thompson, Mary Jane and Jim Causier and Phil Black.  Predeceased by her mother-in-law Margaret and father-in-law Leverne Black.                                                                 

At Mickey’s request, there will be no visitation or Funeral Service.  Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of Mickey’s life will be held at a later date.  Donations to the London Regional Cancer Program, c/o London Health Sciences Foundation, 747 Baseline Road East, London, ON N6C 2R6 or Parkwood Institute Palliative Care Unit, c/o St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation,  P.O. God saw you getting tired

When a cure was not to be.

So He wrapped His arms around you,

And whispered, "Come unto Me".

You didn't deserve what you went through,

And so He gave you rest.

God's garden must be beautiful,

He only takes the best.

So when we saw you sleeping,

So peaceful and from pain.

I could not wish you to come back,

to suffer that all again.
