Robert Sheddon

Robert (Bob) Sneddon, a machinist and long-time resident of London, Ontario, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022, at the age of 78 at Parkwood Palliative Care Unit.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marilyn Sneddon (née Malcolm); his cherished daughter, Pamela and son-in-law Bob; and he is so proud of his grandchildren, Rachel, Kirsten, and Matthew.

Robert was born on July 4th, 1944, in Glasgow, Scotland to Robert and Margaret Sneddon and is the elder brother of the late Urquhart. In March of 1964, he married Marilyn and in January of1965, he welcomed his daughter, Pamela.  He moved to London, Ontario in 1967.

Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, golfing, and watching hockey (Go Leafs!). As a youth, he was known for being an incredible swimmer and competed in many competitions during his school years. As a Scotsman, he enjoyed going to local Highland Games, where both his granddaughters participated in the dancing competitions. He was also known to be a great leader and problem-solver, who was known for thinking on his feet at work.

The service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, Lambeth, 519-652-2020 on Saturday, February 5^th, 2022, at 1 pm.
