Obituary of Wytske de Jong

De Jong, Wytske Wendy (nee: van Wouden)

Peacefully at Parkwood Institute, with her loving family by her side, on Monday, December 6, 2021, Wytske (Wendy) de Jong of London and formerly of Oshawa at the age of 89 years.  Beloved wife for 65 years of the late Dirk de Jong (2020).  Cherished mother of Bertram de Jong and Norma Hammond of Ottawa and her daughter Leila and Irene and Takehiro Ishihara of London.  Proud grandmother of Nikolas, Marika Ishihara and Eric Cho, Aliesha and Emily Ishihara.  Predeceased by her parents Haye and Tetja van Wouden.

A private celebration of Wendy’s life will be held at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road South, London (519) 652-2020 on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 4:00 p.m.  Cremation with interment Woodland Cemetery, at a later date.  Donations to the Alzheimer Society, 435 Windermere Rd, London, ON N5X 2T1 gratefully acknowledged.  On-line condolences are available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca.
