My condolences on the passing of Madaline. She was a gentle, kind soul with a great sense of humour.
I remember her coming into the VON office with the best tasting butter tarts ever, always promoting our programs, whether it was writing a letter to the Queen about our Collective Kitchen British high tea (and getting a response), allowing us to photograph her for our Blood Pressure campaign, or being interviewed by the newspaper and Channel 10 news about our annual walkathon that she was taking part in.
She always had a kind word for everyone and we really missed her when she moved away.
Truly a life well lived and all of us were better for having her as part of ours.

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of Madaline - she was a remarkable woman! best wishes to each of her family at this difficult time. Particular mention to Darlene who allowed me to stay in touch with Madaline even after she moved to Watford. I know you, Grace and Verna were her angels. I'm grateful I had the opportunity to know her.

My Deepest Condolences to Madaline's Family. Madaline was such a lovely lady. I worked with her at my first job in 1975 in Cherryhill Mall and have thought of her and Elmer often over the years. They were just the perfect couple. Madaline was such a kind and gentle lady, I will treasure my memories of her.

I just have so much gratitude for having Aunt Madeline in my life. Although I have regrets for not seeing her in the last several years I am so very greatfull for her love of my dad John Wright and for always making sure we had special visits. We would often go together with our feather dusters in hand to clean my dads house and office…it never really needed to be cleaned but the visits are something I have always cherished. Her kindness her full bodied smile and twinkle in her eye are engraved in my heart always.
