It is with great sadness the family of Carmen Maria Kilpatrick (nee Ornato) announce her passing on Saturday September 25, 2021. Beloved wife for 40 years of James (Jim) Kilpatrick. Cherished mother to Kelly and the late Ernesto. Stepmother to Holly, Adrienne and the late Kathryn. Loving Nonna to Johnathan, Michelle, Erin, Nicholas, and Marissa.  Dear sister of Phil Ornato. Predeceased by her parents Vincenzo and Antonia Ornato.

Carmen was born in Calabria, Italy and spent the latter part of her youth in Belgium. She came to Canada at the age of 19 with her family.  She was a kind and generous person who loved to help others without asking for anything in return. She loved to garden and gifted the bounty to many. She was a supportive daughter to her parents and provided them with exceptional care in their later years. She and Jim loved to travel. She was hardworking and enjoyed her work for many years at Northern Telecom. She fostered many friendships with her kind heart and enjoyed connecting with friends.

Due to Covid19 precautions there will be no visitation.  A private family celebration of Carmen’s life will be held at the McFarlane and Roberts Funeral Home on Saturday October 2, 2021, with Reverend Matthew Penny officiating.  Cremation with interment Woodland Cemetery at a later date.  Donations to Ronald McDonald House, 741 Base Line Rd E, London, ON N6C 2R6 gratefully acknowledged.  On-line condolences are available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca.
