Gross, Maureen Diane

Maureen Gross, an angel on earth, passed away peacefully on, Monday, September 27, 2021 in her 63^rd year, as a result of a gallant fight against brain cancer.  Survived by her loving family:  husband Frank, children Eric and Michelle, grandchildren Olivia and Nicole, brothers Jim and Briane, and sister Sharron.

Maureen had a spirit for adventure.  She loved to travel and was the queen of thrift store finds.  She enjoyed the simplicity of a nice walk, whether it be a quick loop around the block or traversing a 133km of the Camino Trail in Spain.  Maureen was brilliant, funny and gentle.  She could have given any jeopardy contestant a run for their money as she quietly whispered all the correct answers.  She was worldly, whimsical and wise. 

A life-long learner and lover of Hershey’s chocolate and the beach.  Maureen worked as a nurse for 25 years and showed unlimited amounts of compassion for those in need.  She was a uniquely special human being, will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all. 

Maureen wishes to be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Donations can be made to a charity of your choice or complete a simple act of kindness in her honour.  On-line condolences are available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca .
