Obituary of William McElroy

William (Bill) McElroy Peacefully at Grand River Hospital, Waterloo on Thursday, April 28, 2016 William (Bill) McElroy of Waterloo in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late Mary McElroy (1990). Dear brother of the late Guy McElroy (1942), Dean McElroy (2003) and Rod McElroy (2008). Loving uncle of Barbara Ann and Dan Prohaszka of Strathroy, Beverly Orton, Lisa McElroy, Terry and Karen McElroy all of London. Loved by his sister-in-law Shirley McElroy of London. Sadly missed by his dear friend Nicole Scherbarth. Bill was a proud Navy veteran of World War II and will be fondly remembered by his many friends and co-workers at J.M. Schneiders. At Bill’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 2-4pm at 55 Hickey Street, Waterloo, N2J 3J5.. Cremation with a private family interment at Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Thomas. Donations to the charity of choice gratefully acknowledged.
