Leone Westby

Peacefully at Extendicare, London, on Thursday, June 17, 2021, Leone Westby of London in her  69^th year.  Loving daughter of the late Bill and Mary Ney.  Also predeceased by her brother Philip and her sister Mary. Leone is survived by her nieces Leone, Denise, Mary Rose and her nephew Philip in Ireland.

Leone's life was full of love.   She believed in helping others to achieve the best within themselves.   Leone believed in this so much, she founded and opened Street Connection along with her best friend Dick Rastin, and they ran London's only drop-in centre for homeless youth with its doors open for 22 years. Leone enjoyed life to the fullest. With her diamonds, nails, and funky coloured hair, she would brighten up every room she walked into.  Leone loved her family in Ireland connecting with them regularly after moving to Canada. She enjoyed her new-found chosen family when she came here and was always sharing her wisdom and what it means to love unconditionally and teach the importance of kindness and love with no boundaries.

 

There will be no visitation or Funeral Service.  Cremation has taken place.  McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, Lambeth 519-652-2020 in care of arrangements.

 

Leone positively impacted and changed lives through building friendships. One friendship that will always be cherished was her mentorship and friendship with Jackie and her daughter April. Their bond was special and there will always be a special place for Leone in their heart.
