Obituary of Cameron Watt
Cameron Watt May 9, 1933 – March 4, 2021
Peacefully at Victoria Hospital with his loving family by his side on Thursday, March 4, 2021, Cameron Watt of Lambeth in his 88th year. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ann (Phelps)Watt. Cherished father of Cathleen and George Axford, Barbara and Tom Nelligan, and Sharon and Tony Novotny. Proud grandfather of Stuart Axford, the late Walter Axford, Jamie Axford, Lindsey (nee Axford) and Tom Cancilla, Alisha (nee Novotny) and John Harder, Travis Novotny, Rachael Nelligan, Bridget Nelligen and his great-grandchildren Deon and Kylie Harder, Olivia and Madison Cancilla. Dear brother of the late Hazel VerHoeven, Wilma Main and the late Cathleen Laurie. Also loved by his nieces and nephews. Cameron was born in Aberdeen Scotland, was a King Scout in the Aberdeen Stoneywood Troup, and immigrated to Canada in1953. (Met Ann at Scottish Country Dancing). He was a carpenter by trade (Cam Watt Custom Carpentry) and an accomplished craftsman making fine furniture as well as beautiful stained glass pictures. Dancing was another passion, especially with his friends at the Lambeth Legion. Antiques (Bonnie Acres Antiques) was a second love along with collecting antique salt-shakers and pressed glass with his fellow enthusiasts in Glasfax.
A celebration of Cameron’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation. Donations would be appreciated to the Lambeth Legion 501 or Ronald McDonald House.
