Westbrook, nee Roberts, Ardythe Leona

Ardythe died peacefully at home on Sunday, November 8, 2020 in her 97th year surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Walter in 2016 after 74 years of marriage.  Survived by her 3 daughters, Judy Jolliffe (Roger), Janet Linner (Dwayne) and Lori Turner (Brad); 6 grandchildren Jennifer Blain (Ryan) Robert Linner, Michael Linner (Sara), Stephen Linner (Chantale), Jamie Otte, and Ben Turner; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her 22-month-old great-granddaughter Bexley Linner in 2018.  Predeceased by her siblings Jack Roberts (Rosemary) and Ruth O'Connell (Lorne).  Dear friends of Sue, Angus, Luke, and Claire Hunter.

Ardy and Walter retired to Lambeth to be nearer to their family in 1996 after running a successful business, Modern Interiors, in Mitchell Ontario for 25 years. Ardythe was an avid lawn bowler and made beautiful paper tole art in her spare time. She was a very independent woman who loved fun and laughter and she will be dearly missed by family and friends.  

Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road, South, Lambeth, 519-652-2020 on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 1-3 pm.  Due to the Covid19 pandemic, visitation numbers are restricted.  Please contact the Funeral Home at 519-652-2020 to secure a time to visit the family.  Face masks / coverings are mandatory.  A private family celebration of Ardy’s life will follow at 3:00 pm.  Cremation to follow.  The family will hold a celebration of Ardy’s life in the spring.
