William (Bill) Gilders
Unexpectedly at home with his loving family by his side, on Saturday, April 11, 2020, Bill Gilders of Lambeth at the age of 80 years. Bill passed away doing what he loved right till the end. In his orange coveralls at his shop. Bill was the proud owner and operator of Congil Truck Lines for 50 years and for the last 20 years in partnership with Billy McMahon. Bill was a Mason and Shriner for many years. Beloved husband for 35 years of Kathryn (Kate) Gilders of Lambeth. Loving father of Susan and Tom Duffney, and Selina Greenslade. Proud papa of Selina June, Christopher, Garrett and Emma and his great-grandson Jayce. Dear brother of (Ken deceased) and Mary Anne Gilders, George and (Diane deceased) Gilders, Art and Sandi Gilders, Joanne and Mike Vergilio, and Ed and Debbie Gilders. Dear brother-in-law of Mike and Cathy McMahon, Maureen and (Leigh deceased) Brookes, Lynn McMahon and Jake and Nathan McMahon. Dearly loved by Sandy Reed and brothers-in-law of Larry, Brian, Mark Gatschene and the late Wayne and Billy. Cherished son of the late Harold and Norma Gilders. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Because of the situation with the world today, a private family visitation will be held at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road, South, Lambeth, (519) 652-2020. Cremation to follow. A public visitation will be held at the Funeral Home when the world returns to normal.
