Edward (Ted) Roberts

1924 - 2020

Peacefully passed away with his loving family by his side at McGarrell Place on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, of London and formerly of Belmont and Delaware in his 96th year.  Ted was the co-founder of Echo Valley Golf Course.  Beloved husband of the late Emma Kathleen (Kaye) (Rollins) Roberts (1984) and Grace (Karges) Roberts (2013).  Dear father of Wendy Streib and Roger Kirkey of Ottawa, Ed and Mary Lou of London, Brian and Judy of Woodstock and Dave and Judy of London.  Proud grandfather of Jennifer and Dave Rama, Lisa Streib and Rob Durdan, Geoffrey and Karen Streib, Dan and Nadia Streib, Ben and Mel Kirkey, Derek, Curtis, Scott, Jacob and Simon and 11 great-grandchildren.  Dear sister of Edith (Bobbie) Seabourne of London.  Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his siblings Eva, Gordon, Mabel, Shirley and Arthur. 

Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road S., Lambeth (519) 652-2020 on Monday, January 13, 2020 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  The Private family celebration of Ted’s life will be held at the Funeral Home at a later date. Chaplain Jason Snelgrove officiating.  Interment Woodhull Cemetery.  Donations to the Alzheimer Society, 435 Windermere Road, London, Ontario N5X 2T1 gratefully acknowledged.  On-line condolences are available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca. The family would like to thank the caring staff of McGarrell Place (Harris House) for their care and compassion.
