Stuart Russell  (Pete) Dunn of Caradoc Township, passed away peacefully at Strathroy Hospital on Monday, August 5, 2019, with his loving family by his side, at the age of 73 years.   Loved husband of Mary Anne (Parker) and beloved father of Bonnie (Charlie) Milhomens, Robert (Elissa) Dunn and Daniel (Jody) Dunn.    Cherished Grandpa to Justin (Shelby) Milhomens and Katie Milhomens; Jennifer Schiepan, Jeffrey Dunn and Jillian Dunn; Charlotte Dunn and Caleb Dunn.    Dear brother of Donald F (Rick) Dunn and Carolyn Orth.   Dear son-in-law of Phyllis (Parker) Froude.  Dear brother in-law to Steve (Norma) Parker and Patricia (Parker) Carpenter.   Loved by his nieces, Laura, Melissa and Anne,  grandnieces and grandnephews.   Predeceased by his parents Robert and Joyce (MacKay) Dunn and his step-father Robert Smith.

Pete spent his lifetime farming.  He was raised on a farm just west of Byron, Ontario on one of three Dunn farms.   Pete and Mary Anne rented land in and around Westminster and Delaware Townships before and after their marriage.   They bought their first farm in the Poplar Hill, Lobo township area.   They farmed there for four years, selling and settling on their Caradoc Township farm forty five years ago.    He was proud to be a farmer, was innovative and like most farmers could fix just about anything and make it run.    Pete worked for Delaware Township on the road crew for over 30 years and drove ruck for KRT Transport as well as Land Link Transport.  During his illness he was supported by his family, especially his sons and his grandson Jeff in getting the crops into the ground.   He was already planning next year’s cropping season.
