Thank you, Hank and Kaye, for your profound impact on my life. I will always cherish your memory. Rest in peace.
Hank O'Shea and Kaye inspired others in the community through their kindness, generosity, and active involvement. Hank's role in starting the London Western Toastmasters Club provided a platform for personal growth, communication skills, and community building. Their pool parties at home fostered connections and created lasting memories. Their legacy continues to inspire those who knew them.

My sincere condolences to all the O'Sheas on the loss of the remarkable Hank. His life was long and full and he was an example of wisdom, listening, joy, faith, love to all who came in contact with him. I am his goddaughter (one of many godchildren I am sure), from his days in Calgary long ago, and Kaye and Hank always made me feel that should there be a need, I would have a place as a child in their home. Kaye kept in touch with me all her life, and I kept in touch with Hank at Christmas each year after that. I send you all love. I know Hank is with his beloved Kaye again and they are looking out for all of us from heaven! Erin Moure, Montreal

Your Dad was always so gracious when making a request @ the OPI offices - I very much enjoyed the time spent working for him. We had a great visit with Hank - Hugh & I were at a coffee shop & Hank came in & sat down for a chat about a year and a half ago. Hugh enjoyed the many years playing baseball with him and it was so much fun when Tim and Mike would be able to join them. Hank was so proud of his family - treasure the memories.

Dear Pat, Mike, Kevin, Peggy, Kerry, Tim and Colleen and your families,
I want to express my most sincere sympathy to you all on the death of your father. I had many chances to interact with Hank, and Kaye, over the years and I remember lots of good conversations and laughter.
When I think of Hank I am reminded of the writing of John Henry Cardinal Newman in his
“Definition of a Gentleman “. To paraphrase... “ he is one who seeks to put others at ease, who can converse easily and well but is tolerant and not mean. He is humble and respectful...”
There is much more, but suffice it to say, I always considered Hank to be a gentleman. His love of God and his family were always evident and he was a good role model for his family and all those he met.
God bless you, old friend, and may you Rest In Peace.
“ Well done good and faithful servant”

Patty, Mike, Kevin, Peggy, Kerry, Timmy, and Colleen
I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I wish I could be there to help celebrate a man I always admired and to a life well lived.
Mr. O'Shea (Big Hank as I affectionately remember him as) was a true mentor to Cindy and I and if the real story be told, to everyone who ever had the privilege of meeting your Mum, Kaye, or your Dad. I look back at my life and think of those people who really had a profound impact on how I turned out. Your Mum and Dad would be at the front of the line. I watched their parenting skills, work ethic, and your Mum and Dad's professionalism in everything they did. I saw how Faith governed your family molding you into the fine adults you have become. I've tried to emulate their example with my family. These were lessons well taught and I learned. They have guided me throughout my life. There wasn't a single time I did not feel welcome at your home and many times at your dinner table.
Your Dad was the constant cheer leader. Whether it be hockey or baseball he was always there cheering us on; and after the games your Mum's chocolate chip cookies either celebrated our victories or helped us lick our wounds. By the way, to this day I've never had a better chocolate chip cookie. Your Mum's time spent volunteering at the Lambeth Optimist Club, the Sponsor who was responsible for every hockey and baseball player in the village, was always given unselfishly. When my Mother got sick your Mum and Dad looked out for her. On my Mother's passing your parents kind words made my grieving a little easier. When my Dad passed your Dad was one of the first to come and pay his respects. Your Mum and Dad's contribution to the village made Lambeth a better and special place to grow up. They watched over all the kids who visited your home. When ever I returned home to Lambeth my trip would not be complete until I went by to visit with the O'Sheas. They would fill me in on how all of your were doing and were sincerely interested in Cindy and I. You always felt love in the O'Shea household.
Patty, Mike, Kevin, Peggy, Kerry, Timmy, and Colleen in your time of grief please remember the huge imprint your parents made on the many and how proud they were of you and your family(s).

Ah...the O'Shea family...the grace ..the support...the genuine quality of caring for their family...friends..teachers.
We felt they were on our side and we always looked forward to having their kids in our class. Kaye was fun and would send little stories to make us laugh. One day the kids were to bring to school pictures of objects starting with B...and of course she could not resist sending a picture of a bra !
Hank had a natural wisdom and sense of humour...ready to tell a story.
Our lives were richer with the O'Sheas in our lives...
Thank you .

My deepest condolences to all of the O'Shea clan.
Mr O'Shea , as I addressed him as a 16 year old was an extremely intelligent man. I always looked up to him.
He always started the conversation and not about mundane topics- one year when in university, Henry wanted to read my psychology and sociology textbooks when I was done with them- he was always reading in the big chair in the family room.
A great gardener, planting and digging up potatoes in our backyard, he and Kaye didn't have quite enough room in their garden beside the house to plant the Irish crop that he probably had memories from back home.
I would say Kaye and Hank were my surrogate parents at that time. I was always with Peggy usually at their home, raiding the two or three cookie tins under the cupboards - and being invited to the huge breakfasts they all used to eat.
So long Mr O'Shea, I know Kaye will be so relieved that you finally joined her in heaven with their Lord.
Kaye saying " Good God! Hank- you finally got here!
Love to all

I will always remember your Dad's kindness and great sense of humor. When I first met him in regards to purchasing the family home he immediately picked up on my accent and it was in that first couple minutes that we realized I grew up just down the road in PEI from where his family was from. I have a lot of great memories of Hank and he will always have a special place in our families hearts and mind. Please accept our heartfelt sympathies at this time.

O'Shea family, so many of my Lambeth memories include your mom and dad. I treasure them.
It meant a lot to me that your father served on the altar at St.Martin's when Mark and I got married. Your father helped me create a unit on public speaking when I first started teaching. I always enjoyed conversing with your dad because he had a way of seeming genuinely interested in what one had to say. I remember the drives back and forth from Brock University where I learned some wonderful music from the '40's.
Mostly though, I am so grateful for the friendship he shared with my father. Those two special men could have solved all the world's problems if given the opportunity...and a few pints.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Dear Pat,Mike,Kevin,Peggy,Kerry,,Tim and Colleen and families,
Our deepest sympathy on the passing of this wonderful Father/Grandfather/Great-Grandfather/Friend. We have many great memories of him in Lambeth as well as during his visits to Newfoundland. He showed such interest in and kindness toward our family, not the least of which was when he agreed to be " Honorary Grandfather" to Dan and Elizabeth after they lost both their Grandfathers in the same month. He made them feel that they were supposed to call him "Grandpa O'Shea". Thank you all for sharing this remarkable man with our family. We will all miss his warmth and interesting talks.
