Evelyn Faulkner

Peacefully, in her 87th year, Evelyn Marie Faulkner (nee: Ruth) of Lambeth passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018, at Mount Hope Long Term Care in London.  Beloved wife of the late Clifford for 63 years.  Predeceased by her parents Oswald and Pearl Ruth and sister Bernice. 

A loving and devoted mother to Diane and Garvey George of Pickering, Murray and Lynda Faulkner of London, Cindy and Steve Peterson of Cambridge and John and Cindy Faulkner of St. Thomas.  Very proud grandmother of Christopher and Mahreen, Becky and Dale, Danielle and Sean, Will and Liz, Josh, Kitrina, Megan and Bryan, and four great-granddaughters Inara, Nissa, Allison and Olivia.

Both Evelyn and Cliff loved their game playing and camping/travelling adventures with all their grandchildren; traditions they instilled well and will now be carried on by one and all.  Evelyn bestowed her family with the love of gathering together, great conversation, and the best homemade baking.  Her gingerbread men were coveted by each of her grandchildren.  Evelyn worked at Lambeth Library for 25 years and was a willing and ever-present volunteer at Lambeth United Church. . She dedicated her life to the service of others. 

Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road South, Lambeth (519) 652-2020 on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m.  A celebration of  Evelyn’s life will be held at the Lambeth United Church, 4268 Colonel Talbot Road, London, Ontario  N6P 1A2 on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.  Reverend Matthew Penny officiating.  A family interment will be at Emily Cemetery, Omemee at a later date.  Donations to the Lambeth United Church, 4268 Colonel Talbot Road, London, ON  N6P 1A2 or Mount Hope Long Term Care London (Blanket Warmer Project),  c/o St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation, Parkwood Institute, 550 Wellington Road, Main Building, Room B2-147, London, ON  N6C 0A7 gratefully acknowledged.  On-line condolences are available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca.
