James (Jamie) Edward Malpass

Unexpectedly, on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Victoria Hospital, Jamie passed away peacefully at the age of 55, with family at his side.  He leaves his son Aidan (mother Claudia), his parents Eileen and Bob Malpass, brother Jeff and Debbie and nieces Tory and Becca.  He will be missed by his beloved dog Tia and special friend Beth Parisi as well as several old time buddies. 

Jamie graduated from Saunders, Western and Fanshawe working in health care his whole life.  Growing up in Lambeth, he was involved in cubs, scouts, youth groups, hockey and baseball.  Later he loved the junior hockey programme and watching Aidan in goal.  Jamie loved his family and enjoyed all the special activities together.  He loved to cook and hosted several events.  He loved the outdoors, camping, boating and hiking and always wanted to sail the oceans.  He visited the world over and knew all the great restaurants around the world. 

We thank God for Jamie’s life and his ardent enthusiasm for hard work, aims and goals and of course his wry sense of humour.

Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road South, Lambeth (519) 652-2020 on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 2 – 5 p.m.  Cremation has taken place.  Interment Dorchester Union Cemetery.  Donations to the charity of choice gratefully acknowledged.  On-line condolences are available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca.
