Edwin “Ed” George Allen

Peacefully,with his family by his side, at University Hospital on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, Ed Allen of London and formerly of Dorchester in his 74th year.  Beloved husband for 50 years of Joan Allen.  Loving father of Nancy (Geoffery) Toms and Wendy (Daniel) Winter.  Proud grandpa of Katelynn, Joshua, Michael, Matthew and Rebecca.  Dear brother of Evelyn (Michael) and Glenn (Jill).  Survived by his nephews Rick and John and their families. 

Ed’s faith in The Lord was very important to him and evident in the way he lived his life.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  Ed owned and operated the Home Hardware in Dorchester, worked at Lind Lumber, renovated many homes in Dorchester and was very active in Summerside Community Church.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
