Obituary of Dorothy Vessie

Dorothy Vessie Peacefully at Victoria Hospital with her loving family by her side on Saturday, April 22, 2017 Dorothy Vessie of Glanworth at the age of 81 years. Dorothy was a long- time member of Glana Rebecca Lodge and St. Andrew’s United Church, Glanworth. Beloved wife for 61 years of Elgin Vessie of Glanworth. Loving mother of Carol and Scott Barnes of Sarnia and Gord Vessie of Glanworth. Proud grandma of Lyndsay and Derek. Dorothy was actively involved with her grandchildren’s lives. Dorothy had a special relationship with her nephew Wayne Duncan who now resides in Calgary and his daughters Jorden and Emma. Loved and missed by her family -- Ruth Beattie, Marie Beattie, Vera Beaton, Keith & Donna Vessie, Elva Vessie, Gale Vessie as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Jerry and Bob Beattie.” Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road, South, Lambeth 519-652-2020 on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
