Obituary of Douglas Switzer

Douglas Switzer Peacefully into the presence of his Saviour at Victoria Hospital, on Monday, April 17, 2017 with his loving family by his side, Douglas Switzer of London and formerly of Wingham at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband for 52 years of Doreen Switzer of London. Loving father of the late Stephen Switzer (1987), Kimberley and Carl Morgan of Pembroke, Lori and Vince Londini of London and Philip of London. Proud grandpa of Matthew and Lauren, Emilee, Nathan, Abigail, Hannah, Kayla, Wyatt, Nova and Garrett. Predeceased by his sister Eva Addison and his brothers Merrill, Willis and Bruce, his sister-in-law Lillian and brother-in-law Clifford. Loved by his sisters-in-law Winnifred and Johnna. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home 2240 Wharncliffe Road, South, Lambeth 519-652-2020 on Wednesday from 7-9 pm. The Celebration of Doug’s life will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, 4212 Campbell Street, Lambeth, N6P 1A6 on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 2 pm with visitation 1 hour prior. Pastor Wilbert Unger officiating. Interment Wingham Cemetery on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1 pm.
