Obituary of Pieter Adriaan Bakker

Pieter Bakker Peacefully at Parkwood Palliative Care on Sunday, April 9, 2017, Pieter A. Bakker of London in his 89th year. Beloved husband for 67 years of Elisabeth (Betsy) Bakker. Loving father of the late John (2014) and Eileen of B.C., Betty and John Vander Tuin of Delaware, Joan and Steve Kernohan of London, Trudy and Pete Barber of Woodstock, Peter of B.C., and Stephen of Mount Pleasant. Dearly loved by his 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Corry Koetsier of Hamilton, Martina and Leigh MacMillin of P.E.I. and brother-in-law of Walter Veenstra of Brampton and sisters-in-law Rilla Bakker of Granton, Veronica Bakkeer of London. Pieter will be sorrowfully missed by his cousin Jim and Corrie Bakker. Predeceased by his siblings Lien, Adriaan, Adri, Jim, Martin and John. Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road, South, Lambeth, 519-652-2020 on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the Celebration of Pieter’s life will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 1 pm. Interment Pond Mills Cemetery.
