Obituary of William Arthur Rodrigues

William Arthur Rodrigues William Arthur Rodrigues died peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2014 in his 92nd year after a very brief period in Victoria Hospital. Beloved husband to devoted wife Myra Winnifred (Sells) of 67 years. Lovingly remembered by sons Jim (Dianne) and Michael along with caring granddaughters, Lisa (Matt) and Dayna. Also survived by Lynne Rodrigues and her children Matthew, Leigh and Jaime, along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his only sister May Crawford. Arthur (Bill) was a proud, long serving member of the 1st Hussars Military Unit (1940-67). He was a founding member of the Wellington Sportsman Club where he served as Past President and Treasurer. Bill was also a Life Time dedicated member and Past President of the Western Ontario Fish & Game Club, where he was honoured as one of the all time leading fund raisers. Thank you to the caring staff at LHSC, along with London’s Nephrology team. Special appreciation to CCAC and their home caregivers (Susie Ann) along with Sylvia’s kind and caring efforts. Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road, South, Lambeth 519-652-2020 on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm where the celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 11:00 am. Reverend Jim Evans officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Donations to the Canadian Wildlife Federation gratefully acknowledged.
