To the Cornell family, Please accept my sincere condolences on behalf of the McTavish family. My Mother, Marion McTavish was very close with both Betty and Ron. She enjoyed many years of friendship and family events. I hope in the days ahead, you find peace in the memories Ron shared with each of you.

Mr. Cornell gave me my first job when I was in grade 9. I still remember handing him my resume and receiving a phone call from him a week later. He was generous enough to hire kids that age where other places wouldn't. It was on the farm that I learned the value of a dollar and how to work hard and take pride in that work. It was because of that experience and his generosity that I have grown into the man I am today. I remember Mr. Cornell being the kindest and most patient man. He had an amazingly strong character going through some of the hardships that he experienced. Myself, and numerous other workers who he was generous enough to hire, owe him a debt of gratitude for that experience. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family members.

Please accept my most sincere condolences on the passing of your father. Both of my daughters worked for "Mr.C" and some of their fondest memories and stories are of the times on the farm. Through them, I was privileged to become a friend of your father and enjoyed many visits over the years. He was an excellent role model and inspiration. He will be missed very much.

Donna and I extend our sincerest condolences to all the Cornells. Ron was without equal in his kindness, generosity, and positive outlook on life whatever setback he might have encountered. He was totally without guile, what you saw is what he was. I was lucky to know Ron all my life; he made Donna, who knew him for only a few years feel most welcome as part our extended family. Both their faces lit up with pleasure on seeing each other. Rest in peace sir, you have earned every second of your eternal reward. Brian and Donna Sutton

Sharon Kelly posted a condolence
The Kelly families express our sadness in the passing of Ron Cornell and extend our sympathies and best wishes to his family. Ron and my father Edwin were school mates in kindergarten and Ron continued to visit Dad as he was able until Dad's death in 2013. He cherished those visit with Ron. Growing up our families were church friends and as children we played with the Cornell children. We will always remember Ron as a kind and considerate man whose faced life's challenges with grace. Mom and Dad held Ron and Betty in the highest regard and we celebrate the life he lived.
