Obituary of Barbara Louise Adams

Barbara Louise Adams With a heavy heart and immense sadness we announce the passing of Barbara Louise Adams (nee Scane) suddenly in Goderich Ontario on Tuesday, September 30 2014. She was 80 years of age. Barbara was born in Chatham and has resided in many communities including Windsor, Orangeville, Parry Sound, Etobicoke, London, Bradenton Florida and Goderich. As well as being a loving wife and mother, Barbara was nurse for many years. She worked at Parry Sound District General Hospital and the Queensway Hospital in Etobicoke. After her retirement she was involved in several service organizations, including, the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Moose Lodge, Red Hats, and Kiwanis. Barbara will be fondly remembered and missed by all who were touched by her life, especially her family. Beloved wife for 45 years of the late Keith Adams (1996). Loving mother of Fred and Carol Somers, Gail Adams, Cheryl and Gary Johnston, Ian and Kimberley Adams, Brian an Jose Adams and her daughter-in-law Cathy Adams. Proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Joyce and Len Provost and Judy and Ralph Steffler. Fondly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sons Lawrence (Larry) (2014), Paul Adams (1961) and her brother Gerald (Joe) Scane (1998). Friends may visit at the Logan Funeral Home, 371 Dundas Street, London, Ont. N6B 1V5 on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 12 – 1:00 pm where the celebration of Barbara’s life will follow at 1:00 pm. Cremation with interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
