Obituary of Thelma Ruth May

Thelma Ruth May Peacefully at her home in London, with her family on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, Mrs. Thelma “Casey” Ruth May (nee: Casement), in her 84th year. Thelma leaves behind her best friend and loving husband of 60 years, Edgar Gordon May. Thelma was a loving mother to her daughters Wendy (Bob Fraser), Mary (the late Rob McFarlane), and Elizabeth (Darrell Pringle); and proud grandmother of Heather (Kevin), Maggie (Dave), Emma (Marten), Molly (Steph), Colleen (Matthew), Matthew (Angela), Ben, Erica and great grandchildren Robin, Peregrine, Jacqui, Lilly, Evelyn, Sadie, Piper and Callista. She was predeceased by her great grandchildren Gabriel and Grace and her sisters Doris and Marjory. Thelma “Casey” was born in Point Anne, Ontario to James and Ida Casement August 10, 1930. She graduated from the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. Casey had a wonderful, long nursing career and was always up for adventure with her many, many friends. She was most at home in Algonquin Park surrounded by her family. A celebration of a life well lived will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 13224 Ilderton Road, (intersection of Highway # 4 North (Richmond Street North) and Ilderton Road.
