deLagran, Charlotte (Scott) born in Barrie, Ontario in 1914.
Peacefully, at home, on Wednesday, January 25, with her loving family by her side, Charlotte Isabel deLagran of London in her 103rd year.
Beloved wife for 67 years of the late Harold Edward deLagran (2008). Loving mother of Susan Johnston (Wakefield, PQ), Charlotte and Bob Linton (London), Margaret Delagran (London) and John and Louise deLagran (Peterborough). Proud Grannie of Keely, Gillian, Libby (Louis), Leslie, Dayle (Tony), Jennifer (Alex), and Paul and her great-grandchildren Evan, Leah, Colin, Mélodie and Rémi. Survived by her sister-in-law Mari Delagran of Toronto and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her five sisters and two brothers.
Charlotte was a founding member of the Lambeth Horticultural Society and each year presented the trophy for the best climbing rose to the winner at the Lambeth Flower Show. She was also a long time, devoted member of the Lambeth United Church and the U.C.W.
Charlotte loved visits with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren (the “little ones”). She enjoyed her collection of beautiful hats and wearing them was always one of her great pleasures.
Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road South, Lambeth, 519-652-2020 on Thursday from 2 – 4 p.m. where the celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 11 am. Reverend Matthew Penny officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Donations to the Lambeth United Church or Charity of Choice gratefully acknowledged.
