Walter Westbrook
Peacefully at Victoria Hospital with his loving family by his side, on Saturday, November 26, 2016, Walter James Westbrook of Lambeth in his 96th year. Walter offered many years of dedicated community service as a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Kinsmen Club and more recently, the Lambeth Lions Club. He was the proud recipient of the Helen Keller Humanitarian Award. Beloved husband for 74 years of Ardy of Lambeth. Loving father of Judy and Roger Jolliffe, Janet and Dwayne Linner and Lori and Brad Turner, all of London. Proud grandfather of Jennifer and Ryan Blain, Rob Linner, Mike and Sara Linner and Stephen and Chantale Linner and Jamie Otte and Ben Turner and 10 great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Dear friends of Sue, Angus, Luke and Claire Hunter.
Friends may visit at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Road, South 519-652-2020 on Thursday from 7-9 pm and on Friday, December 2, 2016 from 1-2 pm where the celebration of Walter’s life will follow at 2:00 pm. Cremation. Donations to the Lambeth Lions Club Memory Box Program (providing handmade Memorial Boxes for bereaved parents) gratefully acknowledged. A Lions Club Memorial Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening at 6:45 pm.
