During our visit to Canada in 2008, we had a meal together at the restaurant in Komoka. Anne was always ready for an outing.
My first memories of Anne were family picnics with her and her husband behind their home in Byron. Then came all the Christmas Days spent together and then working on the Western Fair project at St. Anne's. I grew up and moved away to settle in France. Anne welcomed my French husband with open arms. She was a great traveller – we were happy to show her our home here in France and to take her to the parts of France she wished to see. She always enjoyed the rural areas, visiting a farm, seeing the cows come home from the fields at the end of the day. Anne was a generous friend. We will miss her smile and positive outlook on life.
