Marjorie Maltby

October 1, 1924 - September 5, 2021

With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Marjorie (Marge) Frances Maltby at Parkwood Institute, London on Sunday, September 5, 2021.  Beloved wife for 42 years of the late John (Jack) Maltby (1988).  Jack and Marge were married on June 15, 1946.  Cherished mother of Sandra and John Toth, Courtice, Ont. Ronald and Shannon Maltby, Winnipeg, Man., Allan and the late Debbie (2016) Maltby, North Bay, Ont., Murray and Mary Maltby, Burbank, Ca., Donna and David Morrish, Glencoe, Ont., Darla and Michael White, Port Stanley, Ont.  Proud grandma of Carmen Toth, Natalie Edwards, Kevin Toth, Shane and Drew Maltby, Darrel and Brian Maltby, Candice Morrish, Chelsea Froklage, Alandra Ready, Coral White and Bryson White and her dear great-grandchildren Grayson and Parker Edwards, Benjamin and Sebastian Maltby, Reed Maltby, Tyler and Emily Maltby, Weston and Asher Maltby, Mikayla Congdon and Bowen Froklage.  Marge will be missed by her nieces, nephews and great friends. With her husband Jack being in the Armed Forces, much of their live in the earlier years was spent moving from city to city.  Even with all the moves, their lives still revolved around their children.  Marge spent many hours sewing and knitting for her family.  She thoroughly enjoyed making homemade bread and spent a lot of time in her gardens, planting and weeding.  She loved her grey and black and orange cats; Marjorie spent many hours of enjoyment volunteering at St. Anne’s Parish where she had been a faithful member for many years.  Marjorie was the last surviving sibling of a family of 5. 

Due to pandemic precautions, there will be no visitation.  A private celebration of Marge’s life will be held at St. Anne’s Anglican Church, Byron on Friday, September 17, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Canon Valerie Kenyon celebrating. Cremation with interment St. Anne’s Anglican Church Cemetery.  Donations to the Parkwood Institute Palliative Care Unit, 550 Wellington Road, London, Ont.
