Joan Marina Baxter, dearly beloved wife of the late George Baxter passed away on July 20, 2025 at Westmount Gardens in London, ON. She will be deeply missed by her brother Ken Preece (Vida) and her nieces and nephews Diane Preece (Mark), Shari Preece (Rob), Jennifer Seymour and Ted Studd.
Joan was an incredible lady. She was strong, kind and very feisty. She was a painter, artist, crafter and maker of magical stuffed toys. She enjoyed listening to jazz and recordings of her husband George’s band performances. She taught herself to play the organ and spent many hours perfecting her skills.
The family is grateful for the care given Joan at Westmount Gardens and the faithful visits by Joan’s niece Diane.
Visitation will be held at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S London on Wednesday July 23rd from 2-4 p.m. Private burial in Stouffville, Ontario.
