Marja Haklander (nee Steenbergen), entered into eternal rest on June 4, 2025.  After patiently enduring the effects of a stroke and Parkinsons’ disease, she now has peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Beloved wife of the late Bill (Willem) Haklander.  Loving mother of Isabell (Doug) Vandenberg, Richard (Marya) Haklander, Tom (Klara) Haklander, Grace (Mike) Harbour, Billy (Dana) Haklander, and Joanna (Josh) Van Duzen.  Cherished Oma to Tim (Theresa), Lauralee (Nate), Emily, Sarah (Jesse); Reuben (Amy), Kezia, Seth; Willem, Maria, Tommy, Juliana, Jakob; Kaitlyn, Megan, Owen; Ethan, Liam; Halle and Zander.  Great-grandmother of Noah, Wesley, Brody, and Hailee.

Visitation will be held at McFarlane and Roberts Funeral Home, 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S., Lambeth on Tuesday, June 10th from 6:30-8:30 pm.  A private burial will take place in Poplar Hill Cemetery the morning of June 11.  Funeral service to be held on Wednesday, June 11th at 2:00 pm at Grace Free Reformed Church, 17 Patterson Ave, Brantford.  If desired, donations to Word & Deed Ministries would be appreciated.
