Obituary of Douglas Hammond

Hammond- Douglas Harry of London passed away peacefully on Sunday May 25, 2025 at the University Hospital at the age of 87. Father of Carolynne Hillman and was predeceased by daughter Shirley and sons Doug and Rick. Dear brother of Marion and her husband Gordon Rutledge and was predeceased by his brother Donald. He is missed by nephews William Thyssen of Blyth, John Thyssen of Mitchell, Rick Thyssen of Brussels and by his niece Linda Oldridge of Blyth and by grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and friends.

Private burial has taken place at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at a later date in Blyth. McFarlane and Roberts Funeral Home 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S London entrusted with the arrangements
