Obituary of Joan Patricia Hunt
Hunt-Joan Patricia (nee Anderson) peacefully went into the presence of her Lord and Saviour, May 3, 2025 in her 87th year. Survived by soulmate and loving husband, Robert Hunt, and a proud mother of Debra and Daniel (Paula d.2003), ‘gramma Joan’ of Alex, Alyssa (Sam), Ashley (Chris), Adam, and adored great grandma of Savanna, Lily and Levi. Joan is predeceased by her parents Reginald and Sophia, siblings Robert and Yvonne. She is fondly remembered by numerous sister and brother in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Joan was born May 27, 1938 in Toronto, grew up in Brantford where she met Robert Hunt and in their fourth year of marriage moved to London, Ontario.
Joan was a full-time mother and bible study leader. She cherished her family, friendships, and enjoyed studies, reading, entertaining, music, tennis, golf, walking and swimming. Joan mostly loved spending time with her “grandbabies”. She was always available to anyone who needed prayers, a listening ear and provided the biggest hugs for all.
While Joan will be dearly missed, her legacy of faith, love, generosity, compassion, dedication, sense of humour, beautiful smile, “happy tears” and wonderful memories will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. We look forward to seeing Joan again.
As a family we would like to thank Brian and Joanne Dippel as well as all the staff at Highview Residences London (Dementia Care) for the kindness, love, dignity and exceptional care you gave Joan.
In keeping with Joan’s wishes a private family service was held and internment at the Woodland Cemetery. McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home 2240 Wharncliffe Rd S Lambeth (519 652 2020) was entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca
