Rae Albert Walch Rae Albert Walch lived a blessed life. Born in London, Ontario on April 19, 1940, his journey on earth ended in London on Friday, March 10, 2023. His almost 84 years were filled with loving family, dear friends, work he was proud of and lots of good fun. Skip, as he was known to family, called Lambeth, Ontario home for most of his life, and that is where he and Patricia (nee McCorquodale), his wife of 55 years, raised their family. Patsy was the love of his life. Together they had many adventures, raised a loving family, and faced the adversity of Pat’s Multiple Sclerosis as a team, until her death in 2019. Rae dearly missed her and was quick to share how fortunate he was to have had Pat by his side. Rae leaves behind two loving daughters, Patrice of Oakville and Raellen and husband Jeff of London, four amazing grandchildren Alex, Abby, Amanda (Chris) and Sean, nieces, nephews, many cousins, and countless friends. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Bertha Walch of Lambeth, brother Harry Walch and sisters Shirley Blaney and Marie Robb all of London. Cherished brother-in-law to Dianne and the late Rollie Rutherford. Rae was a spectacular problem solver, always finding a way to do something better with less (whether it be with his hands at work or with his pencil at word problems). He was an accomplished carpenter and spent 47 years working at McKay-Cocker Construction of London. He was proud of his work, deeply appreciative of his work family, and especially grateful for the support and friendship of his late mentor Don Sadler. Rae retired as the Superintendent of the Small Projects Division at McKay-Cocker Construction and his lifetime of handiwork remains evident in many buildings throughout London and surrounding area, and in the fine work of his many personal projects – be they in wood, cars, sports or the outdoors. Rae was a frequent visitor, then volunteer and ultimately a resident at McCormick Home, beginning when his wife Pat began calling McCormick home. We are grateful for the care and community he found there, and we know that McCormick Home is also grateful for his impact there, especially as an advocate for residents. We welcome you to join us in celebrating Rae. Visitation at McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home in Lambeth, Ontario (519-652-2020) on Friday, March 17, 2023, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm, and on Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 12:00 noon to 12:45 pm, followed by a service of remembrance and celebration at 1:00 pm. Internment at the North Embro Cemetery will follow when the spring flowers appear once again. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express sympathy could also consider donating to the MS Society of Canada, the Cancer Society of Canada, or the Kidney Foundation of Canada. On-line condolences are available through www.mcfarlane-roberts.ca. Thanks to all whom touched Rae’s life, especially his wonderful group of close friends, his extended family, and the caring team at McCormick Home. The world was a better place for having had Rae Walch in it and we will miss him dearly! See you in the movies Papa!!

My Tribute Gift Foundation makes this online charitable giving portal web page MyTributeGift.org (the “Website”) available to you subject to your acceptance of and compliance with these terms of use (the “Terms of Use”). Your donation will be processed through My Tribute Gift Foundation for distribution to your selected charity. Your credit card transaction record will appear as My Tribute Gift Foundation. An official tax receipt for your donation will be issued by My Tribute Gift Foundation. Donations are sent out to charities at the end of each month for all donations received in that previous month. So a donation made on the first day of the month would be sent at the same time as one made on last day. Payments would be sent either by paper check or direct deposit. Please note that the there is 3% + 35¢/transaction fee for credit card processing, My Tribute Gift Foundation collects a 5% administrative fee. These fees help fund the cost of processing all donations, issuing tax receipts, and sending all appropriate information to the selected charity. These fees are assumed by your selected charity, but you will receive a receipt for the full amount of your donation. There are NO additional costs the charity has to endure to participate and accept donations through MyTributeGift.org. According to the American Institute for Philanthropy (charitywatch.org) a charitable organization is considered “Good” if they are spending less than 30% on administration and fundraising costs. My Tribute Gift Foundation helps reduce those administrative costs for charities and allows donors to contribute to lasting memorials for their loved ones.
When donating online, if the donation form has an option to add a tip, there is no convenience fee. The tip is optional and can be adjusted before you submit your donation. The amount of the tip will be displayed to you before you confirm the charge to your payment card. Tips are in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount that goes to the charitable organization. Under IRS and CRA rules, tips are not tax deductible to the donor.
You warrant and represent that all information and materials you provide to My Tribute Gift Foundation, through the Website or otherwise, are accurate and truthful and do not violate third party rights. Indemnity. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE FOUNDATION PARTIES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS, SUITS AND PROCEEDINGS BROUGHT BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY (COLLECTIVELY "CLAIMS") ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THIS SITE IN BREACH OF THESE TERMS OF USE OR THE INFRINGEMENT BY YOU OF ANY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF ANY PERSON OR ENTITY, INCLUDING ALL LOSSES, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, COSTS AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING ALL LEGAL FEES) ARISING FROM SUCH CLAIMS.
If in any part of these Terms of Use is held, by a court of competent jurisdiction, to be invalid or unenforceable, such part of these Terms of Use shall be eliminated to the extent permitted in that jurisdiction, for purposes of that jurisdiction, and the remaining Terms of Use shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
These Terms of Use and your use of the Website are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and all federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The courts of the Province of Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms of Use or your use of the Website.
These Terms of Use constitute the entire agreement between you and My Tribute Gift Foundation with respect to the Website, except as we may explicitly agree otherwise in writing.. No delay or failure to exercise any right with respect to these Terms of Use shall be construed as a waiver by My Tribute Gift Foundation.
As a donor, you are responsible for researching the charity, understanding how your money will be used, and understanding the tax implications of your donation. We will email you a receipt, but the deductibility of your donation depends on your individual tax situation. We are not financial, tax, or legal experts. Please do not rely on our information to make decisions about your finances, taxes or legal matters. Consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Participating organizations have chosen to actively participate in the “Sponsor Program” to be represented in the Sponsor Charity array in an effort to increase their exposure and the opportunity for more memorial donations to be made to their organization. A rate structure is agreed upon and assessed on each donation processed through that program according to each organization’s individual agreement. Giving through that program has helped many organizations realize a drastic and significant increase in net donations.
If a donation form has a line item of Convenience Fee. The Convenience fee is displayed to you prior to approving the charge to your payment card. The convenience fee is in addition to the donation amount, so they do not affect the amount reaching the charitable organization. For example, a $100 donation becomes a $101.50 transaction. The convenience fee is directed immediately to a for-profit service provider. According to IRS and CRA rules the tax deductible receipt will therefore only be issued for the subtotal amount.
My Tribute Gift Foundation seeks to distribute all funds to organizations provided they have maintained active 501c3 certification in the United States or registered charity status in Canada. MTG relies on the beneficiary organizations to maintain and keep up to date contact information on file with the IRS or CRA respectively. This must be done in order for My Tribute Gift Foundation to exercise care and reasonable efforts to distribute payment promptly, without undue cost and burden to the foundation. In the event that a payment has not been deposited 12 months from issuance, the foundation reserves the right to utilize those funds in its mission to the foundation.
My Tribute Gift Foundation reserves the right to modify, change, discontinue and suspend these Terms of Use, the Website, and/or any services offered through the Website, in whole or in part, at any time, without prior notice to you. Your continued access or use of the Website after modifications to these Terms of Use have been posted on the Website shall indicate your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these Terms of Use as modified. It is your responsibility to review these Terms of Use regularly.
