It is with profound sadness that the family of Cliff Stephens announces his passing on August 6, 2026. Cliff passed peacefully, surrounded by the family he loved so deeply.

Cliff was the beloved husband of Gail Stephens (née Lypps), with whom he shared 51 years of marriage, and a devoted father to his sons, Darryl Stephens and Jim Stephens (Deb). He was an incredibly proud grandpa to Hayden and Hadley, and few things brought him greater joy than supporting them and being part of their lives and activities.

Cliff was the cherished son of the late Ellis and Evangeline Stephens and a loving brother to Mary-Ann (Richard) Brown, Alan (Sue) Stephens, Mark (Suzanne) Stephens, Paul (Wilma) Stephens, and Louise (Marco) D’Angelo. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family and many close friends.

Cliff was a passionate man who put his heart and soul into everything he did. He took tremendous pride in every project he took on, big or small, and was rarely seen without a smile. His great sense of humour and genuine enjoyment of the people around him were a big part of who he was.

A proud owner and operator of Herm’s Sport Exchange since 1999, Cliff’s passion for sports extended well beyond his work. He and Gail were longtime members of Highland Golf & Country Club, where they enjoyed many years together. Throughout his life, he volunteered with minor sports programs and dedicated countless hours to fundraising and creating opportunities for young athletes.

Cliff was deeply involved in the Lambeth community, generously giving his time and energy to youth sports and community programs.

He was always there—for the games, the milestones, the celebrations and the everyday moments—and his family could always count on his unwavering love and support.

Cliff leaves behind a lasting legacy in the family he loved, the friendships he treasured and the community he spent so many years supporting. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, August 22, from 1 to 4 at the Greenhills Golf and Country Club, 4838 Colonel Talbot Road, London, ON.
